United Nations was really nice! There were seven booths, Southwestern, Casino Night, Carnival, Eagle Riders, Western / Dutch Oven, Hawaii and Japan. They were all really great. Everybody put a lot of work into their booth. The Southwestern booth took 1st place (Nan, Karen and JoAnn), Hawaii was second (Past Presidents) and the Carnival booth took 3rd (Auxiliary). I'm glad I didn't have to judge. I don't know how they picked! Larry and I served sushi at our booth and well let's just say we don't have a lot sushi lovers! It would have been nice if some of the abstainers would have at least tried it. It is not all raw fish! There was a lot of great food and snacks at all of the booths. My personal favorite, besides my own food, is Putter's meatloaf. The shrimp cocktail at the Casino Night booth (Trustee's) was really good and the BBQ beef at the Southwestern booth was good.
See you at the awards banquet next Saturday.
